Pregnancy Centers

In early 2012, the Lord expanded our ministry in a new and exciting way. We received a phone call in January from a generous donor who told us the Lord had led him to donate a house in Costa Rica for Beautiful Feet to use for ministry.

Immediately we knew that God wanted us to open a pregnancy center. Our founder, Melissa Heiland, had been involved in pregnancy center ministry in the US since 1995. She had served as executive director, client services director, board member and volunteer. When the Lord brought Beautiful Feet this ministry house, it was clear that this was the next step for us.

God miraculously opened door after door for the opening of our centers. He brought us full-time missionaries, donors for needed supplies, government cooperation and committed, godly volunteers. After extensive training and preparation, the doors of Centro Prenatal Tarcoles opened in 2013.

God has grown this ministry in unexpected and wonderful ways. Women and girls around the world have similar doubts and fears when they find themselves in an unplanned pregnancy. Although they may not have had interest in spiritual things prior to pregnancy, they are often open to the Gospel at this very vulnerable time in their lives.

As we tenderly help them to understand and cope with issues brought on by pregnancy, little by little, they begin to open their hearts and minds to the Gospel. Pregnancy center ministry allows us to introduce them to the Savior who will meet their deepest spiritual needs as we minister to their earthly needs.

Beautiful Feet partners with churches worldwide to help them reach their communities through pregnancy center ministry. BFI has developed training and educational materials to equip churches to minister to pregnant women and their families. We currently have centers in South America, Central America and Africa.

“Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering towards slaughter. If you say, ‘But we knew nothing about this?’ does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay each person according to what he has done?”

Proverbs 24:11,12
